The trench coat is a type of raincoat with a belt. Its name derives from the English trench coat. It was born in 1901 when the British Ministry of War ordered a model, halfway between the order raincoat and the military coat, to the Burberry company that since 1856 produced the first model of gabardine raincoat. After the Second World War it began to be produced also for civilian clothing, it fascinated Hollywood and became a classic outerwear of the male and female wardrobe. Its features are: shoulder straps, double-breasted fastening, a belt and a triangular flap overlapping the lacing for a better closure.
